Overview

Successful completion of the Credentialling Examination indicates that a clinician has met the requirements established by The McKenzie Institute International (MII), to recognise basic competency in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT).

The examination consists of written and practical components, designed to assess the clinical knowledge and skills developed by the clinician throughout the post-graduate MDT courses.

Those who pass the exam may add the post nominal “Cred. MDT” to their professional title.

Credentialled clinicians who take out full membership of the McKenzie Institute Australia are also added to the online Clinician Locator; which is used by patients and referrers seeking certified MDT providers.

  • History
  • Examination
  • Conclusion
  • Principle of Treatment
  • Reassessment
  • Prophylaxis
  • Clinician Procedures

* To ensure an ongoing high standard of clinical practice and to maintain their listing on the Clinician Locator, credentialled clinicians must complete regular continuing education in MDT, as determined by the McKenzie Institute Australia.

COVID-19 - Safety & Vaccinations:  For your safety and that of our community, all Instructors, registrants, patients and venue personnel are required to be fully vaccinated with a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine in order to attend a face-to-face event.  Medical exemption for a COVID-19 vaccination may be lodged.
